School Garden
New Generation
Northeastern Madagascar
What we are
The school garden was founded in 2020 by Evrard Benasoavina, a local tourist guide with a vision to share knowledge about the Malagasy biodiversity. The garden offers the unique opportunity for Malagasy people to learn about the functioning of ecosystems and the importance of biodiversity for their livelihoods.
At the school garden, visitors (kids, parents, farmers etc.) learn about sustainable agriculture, how to cook nutritious meals, waste management and the Malagasy flora and fauna.
With this project we want to create a space for Malagasy children
to experience nature and learn about its importance.
